Alex Song - Will he return, how will he fit in?
Latest info it he's in Barcelona thrashing out his future with the club president. Word is he wants to come back to West Ham on a permanent, but at what price.

We seem to have signed a lot a creative midfield and attacking talent in recent week, is there still a place for Alex and will it happen?

Well that seems a sensible solution.

yes it does mate, in the PL. what e could do though is put the loan in place towards the end of the window, and negotiate a clause that we dont actually pay anything towards his wages until he is fit enough to play/train. once on loan and with the club already holding his registration we can then make the loan a permanent transfer outside the window.,

Does a loan have to be done in the transfer window? If not then surely the answer with Alex is to take him on loan again once he is over his injury (in say October) with an option to make it permanent in January.

I doubt anyone else will come in for him while he's injured.

Long term he'd be a good signing as long we see the best of him from last season and not the worst.

I think Cambiasso is still different class and would be a great signing on a 1-year deal.

I don't really do forecasts.

Cliff explained it back in 2004,much better than I ever could.
Who did you say that you were known as back then son

Sorry to be blunt about your "discernment for quality" Hugh but, there is a lot of evidence to the contrary....

Never buy an injured footballer, not after Carroll.

I'd buy M'bodj.

Cambiasso is good, brings experiencr but is too slow and we have enough slow midfielders already.

Well travelled, to Shrewsbury?

Obvious that the jury is out until we get some solid good news about his injury problems.

Andy Carrol was the last players we bought when injured, thinking it was worth the gamble.

I would love to sign him, but it makes me nervous. It would need to be a contract with more conditions than a West End hair dressers.

No Browno,I am just a well travelled football supporter who has a good discernment for quality.

Well either he's had the op or crutches are part of his new attire

We should still try for more midfielders such as Aarons, Woods, Quaison, Coric.,Xhaka. and Mbodj.

If we want to be the best

Re: Alex Song - Will he return, how will he fit in?
Hope so, he's a class player & we can't have too many of those

We want him, he wants to play for us. Obviously nothing much can be done until the result of his operation is known

Apparently, he had the op on Monday & it's supposed to be relatively uncomplicated ~ but then we're West Ham & nothing is ever uncomplicated for us!
